Gloria Filiorum Patres

“and the glory of children is their fathers” (Proverbs 17:6)

About

Gloria Filiorum Patres, “the glory of children is their fathers” (Proverbs 17:6).

What our children need today are fathers who they can look to as the fathers look to Christ. Fathers are commanded to be the Christ figure in their home, church and marketplace. We are living in a time when fathers are not the Christ figure but a world figure. What world figures breed are world worshippers. God encourages His people in Malachi 4:6, “He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.” God desires for the family covenant to continue and He is seeking for this relationship within the home and for fathers and his children (II Chronicles 16:9).

We are a Christian family of four, plus a dog. We were married in July 2002, had our first child in June 2005 and our second in January 2007. I work for a church as the administrator. The matriarch of this family is a lovely homemaker and caretaker of our children.
