Holy, Holy, Holy! (Reginald Heber, 1783-1826)

For the first Lord’s Day in Novemeber jmejr learned the first stanza of the great hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy! by Reginald Heber. We are beginning to attempt to teach our children a hymn a month as part of family worship. It is not that jmejr at his age will learn all the words but he has begun to familiarize himself with the words and can keep along with some instruction. For the first Lord’s Day, he learned the first stanza. We have begun the second one already. I have included them both here.

Holy, Holy, Holy!
(Reginald Heber, 1783-1826)

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty! God in three persons, Blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee, casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Chribum and seraphim falling down before Thee, who wert, and art, and evermore shall be.

The ancient paths.
